Hi everybody,
Has anyone ever had a problem with sidewalls that are beginning to show hairline cracks? I purchased a leftover '96 in April and I noticed recently that after about 3,000 miles, the rear tire is beginning to show small hairline cracks. I took it to the dealer. As usual, he shook his head, looked perplexed, and said he had never seen this happen before, and would contact the District Manager. A few days later I called him back and he said the small hairline cracks posed no safety hazard, the warranty did not come into play. He said the DM told him that the cracks had to be certain length and width before any warranty work could be done.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
